A wheelchair lift requires constant pressure to be applied to the control button to operate. This provides more control over the lift.
Home wheelchair lifts are designed to provide transportation to surpass an architectural barrier, most commonly stairs.
Usually installed next to stairs, wheelchair home lifts require few installation modifications and can be used either inside or outside.
Popular home wheelchair lift locations include placing the lift inside an attached garage to gain access to the house or inside the house to gain access to a basement or second story.
Most commonly used to provide access to a porch or deck and to the main entrance when stairs cause an obstacle to accessibility.
Cibes Symmetry presents an array of design possibilities, ensuring effortless access where you desire, harmoniously integrating with your home’s aesthetic appeal.
Select from an extensive palette of custom paint colors, guaranteeing your home wheelchair lift harmoniously complements any architectural design choice you make.
Home wheelchair elevators stand apart from residential elevators with their open design, distinct drive systems, and minimal site adjustments.

What is the difference between a wheelchair lift and a vertical platform lift?
A vertical platform lift is a specific type of wheelchair lift. Vertical platform lifts have a platform which travels straight up and down, as opposed to an incline such as a staircase. The vertical platform lifts from Cibes Symmetry are available for residential or commercial use. Commercial vertical platform lifts are approved in the ADA Accessibility Guidelines as a means to provide unassisted entry and exit from buildings, service or recreational facilities.
What is the difference between a Vertical Platform Lift and a stairlift?
Under most circumstances, a stairlift will consist of a track mounted to the stairs upon which a motorized chair will travel. A vertical platform lift will consist of a drive tower and a lifting platform, which will travel vertically up or down. A stair lift will only be installed on stairs, whereas a vertical platform lift can be installed almost anywhere.
How fast can a vertical platform lift travel?
The speed of a vertical platform lift is dependent on the drive type used. Symmetry Vertical Platform Lifts have drives available with speeds from ten (10) feet per minute to twenty (20) feet per minute.
Do vertical platform lifts need a lift pit?
Vertical platform lifts can be installed on grade or within a pit. If installed in a pit, there will be a smooth transition from the finished floor to the lift platform, otherwise a ramp will need to be provided to overcome the transition. A pit will need to be provided with proper drainage to prevent the collection of water.
