Understanding how you want a lift to fit into your home and style, is the first step to finding the perfect home lift solution. To get you started to buy a home elevator, answer this questions for yourself: how many floors do you want the lift to serve? How many people do you want the lift to carry? Where would you like to place the lift? What style and color would you like for your lift? What kind of budget do you have?

5. Order your elevator

Your Cibes Symmetry dealer will order the lift and assist you in getting the applicable permits to perform the lift installation. As a customer you have to approve the final lift specifications and drawings for the lift manufacturing to begin. Make sure you check your order: once manufacturing starts, any changes to the lift specification will increase the lift price and delay delivery.

6. Delivery

Depending on what you have agreed, the elevator will be delivered to your Cibes Symmetry dealer or directly to your home.

7. Installation

Your Cibes Symmetry dealer will assist you in making sure that the necessary building preparations are ready before installation. All Cibes Symmetry dealers have been trained by Cibes Symmetry to deliver elevators installations of the highest quality. In most cases, your Cibes Symmetry home elevator will be installed in 2 - 4 days. This is possible thanks to our unique, ready-made elevator concept.

8. Ready to use

Cibes Symmetry elevators run with standard household electricity, so all you need to do is to plug the elevator into the wall and it is ready to use. As soon as the installation is checked and cleared, you and your family have a great home elevator to enjoy for many years.

Safety check

Once your home elevator is installed, your Cibes Symmetry dealer will perform a safety check of your elevator to make sure that it is working properly and is safe for you and your family to use. A safety checklist is sent to our factory and a CE Certificate of Conformity is issued.

Small footprint

We understand that one of the biggest factors impacting your decision is the amount of space available for lift installation. Cibes Symmetry’s unique lift technology features an integrated machine room and drive system allowing for not only a smaller footprint but less building work.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Can I get a 1 stop elevator for my home?

While it is common to hear someone say they only need a 1 stop elevator, there will always be a minimum of 2 stops when it comes to a home elevator.

  • How can an elevator help you to age in place comfortably?

There are several ways how an elevator can help you age comfortably in place:
    • You can still make full use of your home and all floors are accessible.
    • An elevator also contributes to home safety. Stairs are a potential hazard on which many accidents happen in America. An elevator reduces the risk of falls, especially among older adults.
    • Multiple generations can use the elevator. When you share your home with your family, the shared areas remain accessible.
    • Then when it does become necessary to move, the value of your home did increase because of the elevator. Potential buyers can use the elevator even longer because of its longevity.
  • How do I choose a home elevator?

You should choose a home elevator that fits your needs and your home. Your elevator choice varies depending on a wide range of factors. We offer a range of home elevator products to future-proof your home and enhance your comfort. Choosing a lift will depend on your style preferences, accessibility needs and available space.

  • How do I clean my elevator?

The type of cleaning agents used to clean residential lifts and elevators is important and should be included in the manufacturer’s operating manual. Here is an overview:
    1. Start by dusting all surfaces in the elevator to avoid dirt and dust accumulation.
    2. Use furniture cleaning solutions to clean and polish wood panels and accessories.
    3. Disinfect the buttons on hall calls, car operating panels, handrails, and gate handles often. When doing this, make sure you use the proper cleaning agent. We explained this further in the blog.
    4. Clean mirrored surfaces and glass panels with standard glass cleaners.
    5. Vacuum and shampoo carpeting and rugs as you would any high-traffic area.
    6. Cleaning the elevator doors is an important part of cleaning your lift. Obstructions in the door can cause performance issues. Clean up any spills or mess around elevator doors promptly, and routinely check that door pathways are clear of debris.
  • What affects the price of an elevator?

If you want to know the price for your specific project, we will always ask you some questions first, such as:
    • Will the elevator be installed inside or outside?
    • Is there enough space on each floor to install the elevator, or do adjustments need to be made?
    • How much space do you need inside the elevator? Does the lift need to accommodate a wheelchair?
    • How many floors does it need to service?
    • What is the height between the floors and the total travel?
    • Do you want additional options, such as automatic door openers or customized colors?
